Anastasios Strikos was born in Athens, Greece. He studied Piano, Theory of Music as well as Theater Studies at the University of Athens. He studied Orchestra Conducting at the Academy of Music Wurzburg. Additionally to his main studies, he took part in international courses on various subjects and attended private lessons with Carlo Maria Giulini in Milan. He was employed at the Opera House Wurzburg as a musical coach, collaborative pianist and conductor. He moved to Vienna in 2003 in order to work with the Vienna Boys Choir. He has been pursuing a vivid international concert activity as a freelance pianist and conductor since. At the same time, he has been acting as a concert tour manager, organizing and managing a great number of international tours for choirs and orchestras all over Europe. He has a reputation for animating youth and amateur musical groups to inspired performances at the edge of their limits. He is an avid traveler and teacher, watercolorist, writer, art lover, a world citizen and true Renaissance man. Apart from his native Greek, he rehearses and teaches in six more languages. Since September 2020, Anastasios is the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Students at CEU.
