He holds a degree in Communication and Media Studies with a focus on Cultural Economics from the Budapest University of Technology. After university, he gained experience in advertising agencies, working for several years on social media communications for regional and global FMCG brands. Leaving the agency world behind, he joined the team of the Hungarian State Opera House in 2014 as an online marketing project manager and later worked as a strategic consultant in digital content communication. As a freelancer, he was responsible for the digital presence of the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Friss Hús Film Festival and the XJAZZ Festival in Berlin, among others. He was the Head of Digital Marketing at Müpa Budapest from 2018 to 2021. Balázs joined CEU in 2021 as Marketing and Communications Specialist at CEU InnovationsLab.
