Professor of the Legal Studies Department, Central European University, since 1992. Her teaching and research areas cover labour and social law, European labour law, gender, non-discrimination and equal opportunity law. Through 2013 she was also at ELTE Faculty of Law as professor, the Head of the Labour and Social Law Department. Her international teaching experience covers a USA and European universities (Univ. of Illinois, Stanford Law School, Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, Bologna (SINNEA), Florence (EUI), Venice (EMA), Bordeaux (Montesquieu University Bordeaux-IV), Innsbruck (MCI). Professor and (with interruptions) chair of Department at ELTE Faculty of Law between 1992 and 1993. Member of the European Committee of Social Rights (the independent experts' body of the Council of Europe assessing the compliance with the European Social Charter) from 2001 until 2013. Served in expert and consultative bodies to the EU Commission or the Council (on issues of flexicurity, gender equality, the Public Service Tribunal) as well as being a member of international and Hungarian academic networks, advisory and executive boards within her research and teaching area (labour and human rights). Published around one hundred publications in Hungarian and predominantly in foreign books and journals.
