Ingy Kassem

Ingy is a Department Coordinator at the Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations (DSPS). 

Previously, she was the Executive Assistant to the Head of the Department of Public Policy (DPP). She joined CEU in September 2020 when the university openened its doors in Vienna. She supported the relocation of the School of Public Policy and its transition to the Department of Public Policy.

Ingy brings relevant experience in Higher Education having held various administrative roles at an American University based in the U.S. with a campus in Vienna and seven other countries. She began her career in Higher Education as the Executive Assistant to the Rector and the Head of Operations where she supported the wider operations team at the Vienna campus as well as in the other campuses (Greece, the Netherlands and Switzerland). She worked with several units including but not limited to: Admissions, Recruitment, Facility Management, Registrar's Office, Student Services and study abroad, event management and IT. For three consecutive years, Ingy was also the team lead in organizing the university’s graduation ceremony in prime locations. Prior to joining CEU, she was appointed as Assistant Director for Privacy and Information Security (as the GDPR came into force) and as Coordinator for international campuses, concurrently. 

Prior to Higher Education, Ingy was working in recruitment consulting and executive search. She has lived in Cairo, California and Paris, before moving to Vienna in 2011.
