Natália Nagyné Nyikes holds an MA in English Language and Literature from Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, Hungary. Natália has taught English as a foreign language in language schools, secondary schools, and universities. She has worked in different coordinator roles at CEU. Since Academic year 2017/2018 she has also served as the CEU Student Disability Services Officer. Presently, she is working as Disability Rights Officer (DRO).
The Disability Rights Officer collaborates with all members of the CEU community to design, deliver, and monitor the implementation of policies to support the inclusion of community members with disabilities. Contributes to the collection and analysis of data on this topic, identifies and offers solutions to barriers individual students and employees experience and at the level of the community, too. Offers training and support in this area and represents CEU in international bodies which monitor these practices.
Natália is completing her PhD in Language Pedagogy at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Her main fields of research interest include teaching foreign languages to learners with special educational needs, building more inclusive and accessible communities, and supporting students with disabilities.
She is currently researching issues related to anxiety of dyslexic learners in Hungarian schools.
