Charlotte Steinorth joined Central European University as Assistant Professor in 2012. She holds a law and a political science degree from the Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and an LLM degree and a PhD from the London School of Economics. During her doctoral studies she was recipient of the Olive Stone Memorial Scholarship.
From 2008-2011 Charlotte was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg. From 2005-2008 she taught public international law and international human rights law at the London School of Economics as part-time member of the teaching staff.
Charlotte’s research focuses on human rights protection, global justice, and democratization. She is a contributing author to the Max Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law (OUP) and has published her research in leading academic journals, including the Human Rights Law Review, the Zeitschrift für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht and the Baltic Yearbook of International Law.
