Sanjay Kumar teaches Academic Writing for Graduate students in the Departments of Gender Studies, Public Policy, , Nationalism Studies and Research and Thesis Writing for Graduate and Doctoral students of Legal Studies. He joined the Centre for Academic Writing in August, 2010. He was awarded PhD in English Language and Literature from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2010. He has fifteen years of university teaching experience in courses related to English literature, Literature and Culture, Effective Communication, Linguistics, in national technical universities and premier Business schools in India like the National institute of Technology(NIT) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Before joining CEU, he taught in Selye Janos University, Slovakia and International Business School(IBS)), Budapest. He also taught Academic Writing for graduate students and doctoral researchers in Corvinus University, Budapest during 2011-2013.He was the Director of Studies(DoS) for the Open Society Foundation(OSF), New York , pre-academic summer school's in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2015 and 2016 and an Academic Writing instructor for the OSF Istanbul summer school in 2013 and 2014. Sanjay is also the founder and convener of the CEU South and South East Asian Studies Research (SASEAS) research group . He is currently piloting a theatre course and workshop for the refugee students in the CEU Olive program which is the first part of a larger research project on Theatre, Intangible heritage and Cultural memory. Sanjay 's research interests are theatre studies, post-colonialism, cinema, cultural memory, Nationalism and literature.
