Georgeta Munteanu joined the Center for Policy Studies in April 2017 as the project manager of the Capacity building Roma civil society and strengthening its involvement in the monitoring of the National Roma Integration Strategies. Georgeta, together with Adam Kulman, is responsible for overseeing the overall implementation of the project. Additionally, she maintains the day-to-day communication with representatives of the civil society engaged in the program, and as well she is responsible for the overall administrative and financial management of the project.
Prior to joining the CPS team, from early 2011, Georgeta worked in the Roma Access Programs, initially as a coordinator and later as the program manager of the unit. Before joining the Roma Access Programs, from which she graduated, Georgeta interned at the European Roma Rights Center and the European Commission. Early in 2002, Georgeta started to volunteer at local human rights organizations working in the Roma field and was involved in organizing charity events and study trips in Romania.
Ms. Munteanu holds a B.A. in European Public Administration from the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration, Bucharest, Romania and a M.A. in Public Policy from Central European University, Budapest, Hungary.
