Anna S. Burger is a Research Fellow at the Center for Policy Studies, where she is involved in the 'Supporting the Promotion of Equality in Research and Academia' initiative (SUPERA project). Her research interests include political economy, sociology of work time, labour market institutions, and welfare state policies.
She will defend her PhD on The Political Economy of Extreme Work Hours in Western Democracies at the Political science department at CEU in December 2018. She has a Master's degree in Economics from CEU (2010) and a Master's degree in International Relations from Corvinus University of Budapest (2008). During her postgraduate studies, she was supported by the EVZ Foundation to study contemporary history at the Humboldt University of Berlin and was visiting PhD researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).
Her research has been published in an international peer-reviewed journal, Socio-Economic Review, and attracted attention from the wider media. One of her papers was featured in the Free exchange blog of The Economist.
