After his studies at the University of Applied Arts in Salzburg Thomas began working in different studios in Austria and Switzerland where he was responsible for the audio postproduction and sound design of cinema and TV productions. He is also the founder of SONIC TRACES and scopeaudio.

He also composed music to approx. 25 episodes of Austria’s kids show “Tom Turbo” and signations for ORF. During his time in Basel Thomas was responsible for the concept and creation of the sound design of the BMW museum in Munich, where he gained a lot of experience in multichannel audio productions. This led to his work in the field of 3D audio.

He now creates location based immersive AR audio experiences and is considered an expert in this field. He constantly shares his knowledge at international conferences (AES NYC, AES Vienna, Stereopsia Brussels, All about Audio Symposium and more).

As Audio Education Specialist at CEU, Thomas teaches courses in Podcasting and Audio Postproduction and is responsible for the new Audio Lab in Vienna. He is also curating CEU’s Podcast Library
